Modern Baby Quilt
Having a new grandson calls for making a new quilt. Since I no longer work as a long-arm machine quilter, I had no long-arm to quilt with, so I took on the Bernina. It was so fun! This is how it turned out.
He also needed a car seat cover. Chose minkie and polka dot cotton. The green and grey are the exact colors of his car seat!

Banana Bread
I had 4 bananas that were beyond eating fresh. Out comes the recipes and I usually go to Cathy's recipe, (my darling sister-in-law).
Here it is:
Banana Bread
Cream 1 cup butter and 2 cups sugar.
Add:
4 eggs, one at a time
2 cups mashed bananas
1 tsp vanilla
Stir 4 cups flour, 2 tsp soda, and 1 tsp salt together. Mix into the creamed mixture.
Pour into 2 - 4 greased bread pans.
Bake @ 350 degrees 40 to 60 minutes. Check with a toothpick.
Moist and flavorful. Enjoy!

Vintage Quilts and Antique Show
Saw this at the antique show in Hailey Idaho. |
Purchased this one from a lady at the antique show. It was her mother's and she made it from feed sack. It was made in the 1930's and was hand sewn! |
Also purchased this one. Hand sewn too and made mostly from feed sacks in the 1930's. |
Close up of the back. |
Bought these from a different vendor. There were 13 of them. Two were the pink and turquoise fabric. |
Close up of the blocks I bought. |
Cute children's chairs. |
Love the ironing board. |
I am grateful for the modern comforts that we enjoy! |
